Today is Maggy's Birthday! I thought it was fitting that her 1st B-Day Portrait Session be posted on my blog today! I'm pretty sure we all can collectively agree this past year has flown by.. I mean even now, summer is almost over! Even though the days seem short, today we celebrate this bright light named Maggy Clare! A very Happy Birthday to you little girl!!

Engagement session on a 93 degree day? Lets jump in a creek!
But first - This is Sara, Ronnie, and their son Grayson! These two are getting married this year on October 4th in Maryland on The Double R Farm. We decided to have a summer time e-session and drove around the Milburn Orchard area. First stop, a local Maryland State Champion Austrian Pine. I'm no tree expert, but the plaque looked official! After stopping at a few unique locations we ended up in a creek fed by a natural spring. How fun!! Even little Grayson got his little feet wet!
This family was a DREAM to photograph and I can't wait until their wedding day!!

Every photographer has those few families that they've photographed their children every year since birth, this is one of mine! Kate and Drew are both summer babies so every year around this time we all catch up for their yearly birthday sessions! Last year their parents discovered this little patch of land just like Bombay Hook, but right in the middle of the city! I absolutely loved photographing there! You'll notice in one of the photos Kate is taking an animal cracker break.. Being an animal cracker lover myself, I couldn't resist the photo op!
Happy birthday, kiddos! I'll see you after another trip around the sun!!

When Devon told me she was going for a whimsical birdcage-y look with a blue accent color and hints of a rustic theme.. I was instantly excited to see what she would put together! My two favorite words to hear from a bride to be describing her wedding is 1) Vintage and 2) Rustic!
Randy and Devon were married at the Concord Country Club on Friday, June 20th. They held their ceremony outdoors then invited guests to cocktails on the patio just off the country club's ballroom. I didn't know this until the day of, but her wedding gown had been inspired by Disney's Bell from Beauty & The Beast! OH! And, you've gotta see these customized superhero capes!!! Their son, Dean, and flower girl, Lola, wore them for the reception introductions! Such a fun touch for the kids and so cute!!
Thank you for letting me be by your side all day, Devon! An a big thanks to Gretchen for photographing the guys for me before the ceremony!!

I got to see Beth and Nick's relationship grow from first meeting each other to becoming husband and wife! I was so excited when Beth asked me to meet with her parents to talk about wedding photography! I knew she was going to be a stunning bride with a picture perfect wedding day!
We started the day off at her parents house only blocks from the church that Beth grew up attending! My second shooter, Gretchen, photographed Nick getting ready for me before we met up at St. James The Apostle. The mass was modern and full of inspiration for a thriving marriage. As requested, after the wedding party photos we photographed some "cheezy golf poses" with just Nick and Beth. Nick is a member at Hartefeld so it made having their wedding reception there that more special!
